Come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination.
Storytellers
Welcome! I don't know how you stumbled across this page, but I hope that when you're through you're glad you did.
So I decided to start this blog for a couple reasons. First, my friend Betsy Shirey started one and it just made me think I could do it too. (See Betsy's awesome blog here: http://humblebeeblog.weebly.com/intro-to-blog.html ) Secondly, after reading her blog I was reminded of how the little things make up some of the best memories of our lives. I also thought, that a lot of people, myself included, forget that as they rush about their busy lives.
I'm not the type of person to toot my own horn, or think that I know anything better than anyone else in this world. I'm not gorgeous, I'm not athletic, I'm not going to be the next member in Mensa, and I won't be making millions of dollars anytime soon. I don't accept compliments well, I don't make small talk well, I'm nervous in crowded places of people I don't know, and I'd rather be in Disneyland. I'm not perfect. I'm just me. One thing I have come to learn, and accept, about myself is that I have the gift of writing. It's one thing I willingly accept compliments on about myself, because I know I'm good. Am I the best? No. Not by a long shot, but I know I'm good and have the potential to be better. When I write I have a voice inside that comes out on the page. A voice I just can't get out any other way.
I can share the little moments of my life through my writing with others so that maybe they'll remember to stop and look at the little moments in their own life. Maybe they'll even like it, or learn something, or be inspired to do something like this of their own. Just like I was after I read Betsy's blog. So I thought, what better way to share them with people than a blog of my own.
*Side note: As of May 2014 my dear friend T started a blog as well, partly because she read mine and thought she could do it. I knew she could do it and gave her a little push. Go read her blog here: http://offthetopofmyredhead.weebly.com/ You won't be sorry, I promise.

So here it is, my blog. It's nothing special. It's just me. My little love notes to the world and I hope they make you smile, laugh, cry-in a good way, but most of all I hope they inspire you. Click the picture on the right and follow me through the wardrobe. There's a world of pure imagination waiting. I can show you.
